Not every Florida or Georgia fan can make it to Jacksonville for the big Florida/Georgia game. Many people homegate with friends and family.
Such a family is the Crawford family in Cashiers, NC. They own and operate the Cashiers Farmers Market. The Crawfords are huge Gator fans spending part of the year in Florida and part in Cashiers.
Fall is in the air in the North Carolina mountains and the Cashiers Farmers Market is brimming with folks visiting the area for leaf season.
I asked Robin Crawford for a good tailgating recipe for the Florida Gators.
Her instant reply was Calico Baked Beans

Notes
Kathy's Comments...You can skip the brown sugar if you prefer less sugar. The Bush's Baked Beans have brown sugar in them. I also love the idea of using your favorite barbecue sauce instead of ketchup. This can give the beans a regional twist...North Carolina style, Kansas City style...Also add another can of beans or two to stretch.

I’m sure the game will be on in the Cashiers Farmers Market come Saturday.
Another friend and Georgia fan, Laurie Cordell, gave me her “baked bean” recipe. Laurie and husband Jim will be watching the game from their mountaintop. The beans in this recipe give it a unique twist… Green Beans!

Notes
Seems like a long time to bake, but doing so at a very low temperature. This is a great new way to have baked beans*** baked GREEN beans.By Laurie Cordell via KathyMillerTime

I love a good college football rivalry and there is none better than the Florida/Georgia game held annually in Jacksonville, Florida.
Equal number of tickets are allotted to each school. The stadium is evenly divided; half Florida fans,
half Georgia fans,
making for one of the most exciting game day atmospheres in the country.
Enjoy the game whether you are tailgating or homegating.
Come celebrate with me. I’ll save you a seat at the table.
