Amelia Island will be hopping this week as the 2016 Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance comes to town.
Thursday, March 10th – Sunday, March 13.
South Island Living promotes the Concours de’Elegance with its March cover.
From The Publisher:
“We had a lot of fun putting this cover together. We wanted to celebrate the many ways car enthusiasts migrate to our island. Our enthusiast for this photo shoot was Mike Depew and Marianna McIntyre. Also, we wanted to play with the theme of new verses old. Several of us take new vehicles to go see the older, classic cars. In this case a new jet is the conduit to see the classics.
Many, many thanks go out that made this a possibility. First, Kirk Svodia at Sheltair for securing the plane, others involved were of course Marianna with Micah’s Place for coordinating everyone’s schedules. We thank Mike for letting us use his Model T which we used on the South Island Cover. As always, Steve Leimberg lent his amazing talent to this endeavor. Kathy Miller was the glue that held it together with her coordination and staging. Bill Amos added the classic muscle with his Shelby GT. We all braved a severe wind on the tarmac to get these fun shots.
We will have more photos and stories from this shoot in the April Issue.”

Watch for post in April with more pictures and recipes from our picnic on the tarmac.
Come celebrate with me. I’ll save you a seat at the table….or the tarmac.
