“Every spring hundreds of hungry folks converge on the Prime Osborn Convention Center in downtown Jacksonville, anxious to sample scrumptious recipes offered by Jacksonville area ‘celebrities.’
Diners stop for a nibble from each station, where a local “celebrity” is serving up a spoonful of their favorite recipe. The two-hour event includes a silent auction, which raises thousands of dollars each year for special projects. Always present at the auction are such items as artwork, collectibles, jewelry, dinners, spa treatments, sports memorabilia, weekend getaways, rounds of golf, designer accessories, and much more.”
KathyMillerTime is happily donating 2 of her Tailgating Through The South prints to benefit The Salvation Army and their fine work.
Guess which 2 prints???? (This IS the city of the annual Florida/Georgia game!)
“Tailgating In The Swamp” University of Florida
“Tailgating Under The Arch” University of Georgia
Both are 11×14 premium poster print on archival satin paper, framed courtesy of Lucy Hawkins, $100 value each.
Tickets for Celebrity Chefs are $30 and include the tasting event, silent auction, and a cookbook containing the recipes featured at the tasting. Parking is free.
I have enjoyed this event many times over the years! I have also featured a recipe or two on this blog. (Love the Buckeye candy recipe during football season by Celebrity Chef, Melissa Ross, click here.)
