I bet you thought I was going to talk college football today. No…don’t think so except to say…
Our house was not a happy place on Saturday…As in most families…
If Momma Ain’t happy, Ain’t Nobody Happy…nobody Is or Isn’t!
And good news! I am not retiring these yet!
My power T button that plays Rocky Top and my signature orange and white earrings…

My challenge was to clog all the way to Knoxville if Tennessee beat Florida.
Instead, I think I will be listening to a little mountain music in the North Carolina mountains and if you hear a little tapping of feet you will know I am clogging, I just didn’t clog all the way to Knoxville. Ok enough!!!
I never give up and my Vols will be back!
As promised in a previous post, our visit to Durham over the Labor Day weekend included a visit to the Sarah P.Duke Gardens on the campus of Duke University.
The Terraces are one of the highlights of the gardens.
The colors were spectacular. Lots of fuchsia pinks and lime greens.
The White Garden was so peaceful after the Terraces riot of colors.
I love a good garden and this one is well worth a visit when in Durham and at Duke. Duke’s new football field and stadium are looking good!
Watch for upcoming stories from my tailgating travels….Think some big games are coming up this weekend.
Will be showcasing a few recipes and insight…well sort of…don’t put smoked trout out with the trash…
You might just attract a bear.
Come celebrate with me. I’ll save you a seat at the table.

UT Loss @ The Swamp was tough for the fans-at UK we certainly can relate.
Go Cats!
Great win for Cats on Saturday over Missouri! Thanks Dave for your sympathy
The Duke gardens were just spectacular plus it was exciting to see the wonderful renovations to Wally Wade and Cameron. Thanks to my sweet Bride for sharing these pics.
Looking forward to seeing your Duke buddies this weekend at Amelia! Always love visiting Duke and especially the gardens.
