A too quick trip to our North Carolina mountain home was…well…too quick. We shared a fabulous week with family and friends; hiking, fireside gazing, and eating fabulous food at home and at some of our favorite restaurants. We also watched a little football and played several games of spades and ring toss. A perfect getaway from our home remodeling project!

Although the leaf season was hurt due to Hurricane Irma making its way to the mountains, we still enjoyed the change of color and cool crisp weather.

The first two are inspired by barns and mountain meadows. They are now available for sale in the Art Gallery on my website. (Art Of Living subscribers get the family and friends discount). Please feel free to email me with any questions!

One of our favorite restaurants in Cashiers is Cornucopia. We have eaten many a fine lunch and dinner there.
James and I enjoyed the Oyster Shooters…raw oysters, Bloody Mary mix and a little tiny bit of vodka. Delish!
Enjoy…this will be coming off the site in a few days!
Come celebrate with me.
I’ll save you a seat at the table.

Love your mountain paintings and so glad your sharing them with your followers.
Great fun at the Cornucopia.
Thanks Liz! That was a nice time at Cornucopia. Next time maybe you will try the oyster shooters! Had such a great time together.
Your mountain paintings are terrific. You have an other avenue to follow.
It must be hard to have so many things you do well and not enough time to spend on each.
Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much Janet! I always appreciate your support and your comments. I am a busy girl, but that’s the way I like it…Think that sounds like a song. Hope you are keeping up with your painting too. Love your work.
I’m glad I got to see you one night while we were up there! Looks like you had a full week with family and friends! Phil ended up getting sick and had to cancel his flight there, so I ended up knocking around for several days just checking out end of season sales at shops and relaxing at the house. Looking forward to seeing you next year. XO
