VERMONT FARMERS MARKET

One of my favorite pastimes while on a trip is visiting the local Farmers Market.  The Dorset Farmers Market is one of the best!  The fresh vegetables, blueberries, cheeses, maple syrup, biscotti, granola, flowers, soaps, and hand crafted jewelry keep us well fed and me stocked in earrings for our Vermont stay.  We hit the Farmers Market on Sunday (open 10-2) and buy produce to last the week.

The West River Creamery has one of my favorite cheeses,

Fresh Chèvre With Ginger cheese, goat cheese with crystallized ginger,  perfect spread on a cracker or crumbled in a salad.

This cheese is also available at H.N. Williams Store in Dorset.  The Williams store is very interesting with clothing, hardware, deli foods, coffee and just about anything else you would want or need.

I had to buy this cheese from Woodcock Farm mainly because of its name, Jersey Girl…It was delicious!

The farm fresh eggs…I’m hungry for breakfast now!

If you are in the Manchester/Dorset area go on “Up For Breakfast”

My choice…Eggs Scandinavian…Smoked salmon and wilted spinach topped with poached eggs and a stone ground mustard Hollandaise, on sourdough batard points! Divine!

And a special Vermont artist, Peter Huntoon.

I welcome your comments and pictures on your favorite Vermont spot.

Come celebrate with me.  I’ll save you a seat at the table.
