Mother’s Day is a time to appreciate the mothers who are still with us.
A time to remember the mothers who are gone.
A time to gather with one’s children.
To my mother, Uhlma who is still the picture of grace and beauty.
Grandma, at the farm, teaching James how to play corn hole.
To my mother-in-law, Glo. I miss you every day.
Dave was 2 when his triplet sisters were born.
Talk about Motherhood.
A time to celebrate all Mothers, even the Doggie Moms.
I am the new mother of a cute Whoodle named Sheldon,
Sheldon Cooper when he is in trouble
And a new Grandmother of a really cute French Bulldog, named Ralph,
Ralphie Boyz as in Ralph Kramden and Ed Norton when he is in trouble
As families gather in celebration, many wonderful meals and memories will be shared.
This Strawberry Preserves Cake makes a great Mother’s Day Cake, courtesy of Frances Stone.

Watch for upcoming stories from my summer travels.
I welcome your comments, recipes and any inside information on your favorite tailgating spots.
Come celebrate with me. I’ll save you a seat at the table.

Nice-brings back memories of my Mom. Now my wife is a grand mom (Mimi) & her own Mom is still alive (88) and doing well. Fun occasion to celebrate. Thanks for the Post.
Thank you Dave for your comments. How lucky Robin is to have her mother with her and doing well. 4 generations!

That is an interesting photo. I had never seen it before until my sister Kay found it. Looks like a glass of water on the window sill. Happy Mother’s Day to you too! Looking forward to Vermont.
