Inspired by the dahlias from The High Hampton Inn in Cashiers, NC. I love and collect interesting vases. I loved growing dahlias in the North Carolina mountains.

Inspired by a flowing flower arrangement…I can just feel the flowers dancing.

I’ve realized recently the favorite part of our home revolves around the artwork we’ve collected over the years. That special feeling you get when you look at a painting and feel a connection to the artist’s heart and soul. I enjoy our art every single day!
I’ve been very busy painting this year and am so surprised that our year is almost over! I’ve been painting in series, meaning I’ll do several paintings of flowers…then turn to landscapes…tablescapes…interiors… and even a bunny or two. I’ve also been painting with oils, acrylics and some watercolors.
I’ve discovered the joy of painting on museum quality gesso panel in smaller sizes which allows vibrant colors to shine and can make original works of art more affordable.
I still have lots of paintings on canvas available too!
Watch for more Twelve Day of Christmas paintings! Come celebrate with me.
I’ll save you a seat at the easel.
